José Maria Rodrigues Alves, best known as Zé Maria (born in Botucatu, May 18, 1949) was a former Brazilian footballer.
In career (1966–1983) was played for Ferroviário Botucatu, Portuguesa, Corinthians and Internacional de Limeira. He won four São Paulo State Championship (1977, 1979, 1982, 1983). For Brazilian team he played 48 games from 1968 to 1978, never scored goal. World Champion in 1970, he participated also at 1974 FIFA World Cup, and in famous friendly match Shamrock Rovers XI vs Brazil, won 4–3.
